The Valor Groups, in collaboration with the African Studies Student Association, University of Ibadan is set to host the maiden edition of the Youth, Innovation, and Futures in Africa (YIFA) symposium.
The hybrid event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan by 10 AM.
According to the organizers, the symposium will bring together scholars, professionals, and change-makers to discuss innovative pathways for Africa’s development and sustainable future.
Expected facilitators include Professor Bolanle Oladejo, the Head of the Department of Computer Science and AI, UI; Professor Adeyemi Ademowo, Afe Babalola University, Ekiti state and Professor Morufat Balogun from the faculty of Agriculture, UI.
Event highlights for attendees include a trade fair, a career fair, networking sessions, and mentorship opportunities.
The organizers also noted that while participation is completely free, interested individuals are required to complete a compulsory online registration.
