The orientation programme for Indy Hall freshemen was held on Saturday, 13th August, 2021, at the Indy Hall Cafeteria. The programme, which was part of the 3-day Freshers Orientation, served as an avenue for Indy Hall freshmen to learn the hall’s rules, regulations, and traditions.
Prof. Victoria Adetunji from Veterinary Medicine, who is also the Chair of the University of Ibadan Covid-19 Emergency Response Committee gave an address on the new Delta variant, COVID-19 guidelines, and safety precautions. At the end, there was an interactive question-and-answer session.
Dr. Olaojo, who represented the Hall Warden at the event, admonished the freshmen to build their character. In his words, “it is your character that will see you through your stay in the University of Ibadan. Pay attention to your academics, which like your seniors have said, is your primary reason you are here. The observance of the Covid-19 protocols is really important.”
He also stated that the hall management is making efforts to identify illegal occupants and apply necessary sanctions on them. Finally, he expressed his best wishes for every Katangite, and his desire to see them make impacts.
Present at the event were the Hall’s student leaders, supervisors, and other Katangites.
