Adebayo Omoboriowo, the Official Photographer to President Muhammadu Buhari, has been announced as the Guiness World Record Holder for the Largest Photobook for his photobook titled Discover Nigeria. This was verified and announced at the State House Banquet Centre, Abuja on Thursday, September 30, 2021. The photobook, named Discover Nigeria, showcases Nigeria’s rich traditional institutions, the ingenuity of its people, the beauty of its landscape, the richness of its farmlands, stunning waterfalls and seas, among others.

The announcement was made in an email sent to Bayo. The photobook measures 7.8 metres by 7.8 metres (totalling 60.84 square metres or 654 ft² 87 in²) when closed and, when opened, it is 15.65 metres on its horizontal breadth and 7.8 metres on its vertical length.

In his speech at the book unveiling ceremony, which doubled as the closing ceremony of Nigeria @Nigeria 60 Activities, Thursday night, at the State House, President Muhammadu Buhari affirmed that Nigeria is undoubtedly a blessed nation with abundant human and natural resources underpinned by a very rich socio-cultural diversity which needs to be positively harnessed for the emergence of a new Nigeria.
