Indy Hall Legislative Council Holds Inaugural Meeting, Elects New Leadership

The Legislative House of The Great Independence Hall held her last sitting for the session today, 20th December, 2021 and alongside inaugurated the newly elected honourable members into the House which took place at the JCR.

In his address, the outgoing speaker, Rt. Hon Samuel Adegoke appreciated the principal officers as well as the other members of the house for the support granted during his tenure.

He reiterated that the House working in partnership with the Executives was able to fulfill the following in his manifesto agenda: Operation Keep Indy Clean, Partnership with Katanga Entrepreneurs, Monitoring of disbursed funds amongst others.

Among the newly inaugurated honourable members, Hon. Ajenifuja Toluwalase emerged as the Speaker of the House, Hon. Samuel Olaoye emerged as the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Emmanuel Ejere of the B3 constituency emerged as the Chief Whip, and Hon. Peter Ayodele of the A4 constituency emerged as the Clerk.

The honourable members who served in the previous dispensation were acknowledged and they also admonished the new members of the house to uphold the standards.
