The University of Ibadan Students’ Union, on the 3rd of September, have revealed plans for the upcoming Freshers Inter Hall Football Competition slated for this semester.

The competition is set to kick off on September 6 2023, with Bello Hall and Kuti Hall squaring off by 2pm at the Students’ Union Building(SUB) pitch. Independence Hall will face Mellanby Hall by 3:30pm, while the final game of the day will see Tedder and Zik lock horns by 5pm.

The three winners will progress to the semi-final, while the fourth team will be decided by the best goal difference, goals scored, or goals scored by any of the three losing teams.

Meanwhile, in the female category, the only game will be Queen Idia Hall vs. Queens, which is scheduled for 1pm.

The competition is a good ground to hone new talents who just got into the institution and sets the ground for other sporting activities in the session.
