[Live From The Chamber]
The emergency sitting of the Students’ Representative Council, University of Ibadan, ongoing as of the time of this report, has witnessed a large turn out of student observers.
Before the later resumption of the emergency plenary session after a brief halt, a mild show of displeasure was staged by students who initially were denied entry into the chamber.
With concerns raised by Honourable members that the chamber being used had been filled with observers and press men, students, as observed by Indy Press, insisted on being allowed into the chamber.
“If you want update, Maybe we’ll have update on media pages, Everyone cannot be here” the Speaker noted when addressing the observers who had gathered in increasing numbers at the entrance of the SRC Chambers, where the plenary sitting is holding.
In its resolve, the leadership of the Council called out on all the observers already in the chamber, in order to rearrange and give priority to press men, who were instructed to fill the last row of the venue, while observers were let back in to occupy the second to the last row of the seats in the chamber.
