Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s CCPZ to host anti-pandemic lecture

The Centre for Control and Prevention of Zoonoses will on Monday, 24th June 2024, hold a special lecture convened against the wake of a pandemic.

The lecture tagged ‘Pandemic Preparedness in Nigeria: Advancing the Frontiers of One Health, Interdisciplinary and Intersectoral Collaboration‘ will be held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Auditorium, UI.

Professor Babatunde Salako, the Director General of Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba, Lagos will deliver the lecture of the day.

Expected guests at the lecture are Professor Kayode Adebowale, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan; Professor Olufunke Ola-Davies, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UI; Professor Jesse Otegbayo, the Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital (UCH), among others.

The Centre for Control and Prevention of Zoonoses offers collaborative help in the control and prevention of disease or infection that can be transmitted naturally from vertebrate animals to humans or from humans to vertebrate animals.
