The University of Ibadan (UI), is set to host an international innovation conference.
The conference, themed “Research, Innovation and Sustainable Development: Impacting the Glocal Community,” will bring together scholars, researchers, and professionals from around the globe.
The conference aims to explore the role of research and innovation in driving sustainable development at both global and local levels.
The term “glocal” emphasizes the interconnectedness of global and local perspectives in addressing contemporary challenges.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts on a wide range of topics across seven major fields which include Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Studies; Health and Medicine, Engineering and Technology; Big Data, Robotics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence; Social Sciences and Humanities; Physical, Life, and Applied Sciences; Regional Studies; and Business, Management, and Economics Studies.
The conference provides a platform for researchers to share their findings, collaborate, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives.
Intending participants are also urged to take note of important deadlines which are: abstract submission deadline, August 31, 2024; full paper submission deadline, September 21, 2024; and early bird registration deadline, September 26, 2024.
Participants from Nigeria are to pay a sum of ₦40,000; participants from Africa are to pay $50 (for professionals) and $30 (for students); while participants from outside Africa are to pay $100 (for professionals) and $50 (for students).
As UI celebrates its 75th anniversary, this conference is to be a highlight of the institution’s anniversary celebrations, reflecting the University’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
