Students of the University of Ibadan have begun mobilizing to protest against the management’s decision on fee hikes.

This comes after the management issued a memo on Saturday, August 31, 2024, signed by the Registrar, G.O. Saliu, giving students a three-week ultimatum to pay their fees.

The memo warned that failure to pay fees within the stipulated time would result in forfeiture of eligibility for the first semester exams scheduled to commence on Wednesday, September 23, 2024.

In response to the management’s decision, students have taken to the streets, mobilizing for a protest to express their displeasure against the fee hike.
