An accident occurred early hours of Sunday, September 1st, 2024, resulting in the damage of a part of the Zik Hall bridge, IndyPress reports.

According to an eyewitness at the scene who pleaded anonymity, a car drove straight into the bridge poles, reversed, and sped away almost immediately.

IndyPress correspondent who visited the scene observed that the poles which used to be at the entry point of the bridge were no longer there.
