UI Protest: “This Struggle Is For Students, Parents, Taxi Drivers” – Aduwo Ayodele Says

Aduwo Ayodele, a 300 level History  student on Friday, 20th of September, 2024, has said that the protest ongoing at the University Main Park is for students, parents, taxi drivers, among others, referring to them as ‘stakeholders’ in education sector.

Aduwo asserted that the protest is to protect the future of Nigeria’s public education, while encouraging students, parents and taxi drivers to join the struggle.

Aduwo also encouraged the students’ body to fight for their right to education.

“We are on the right side of history. We are not going to leave here until the management takes us seriously,” Aduwo said.

“All we are doing right now is to protect the future of education for ourselves and our posterity,” he added.
