Access Bank branch situated along Barth road, University of Ibadan, on Monday, 21st October 2024, witnessed a large presence of students who gathered to charge their devices.
Students, in the early hours of Monday, were seen charging their phones, power banks, laptops, among others.
Some students, as observed by IndyPress, were busy studying virtual materials on their phones and laptops in preparation for the ongoing first semester examination.
A student, who has an examination by 3pm lamented about the state of electricity fallout, while claiming that the bank is not conducive for him to study ahead of his 3pm exam.
“The situation is very terrible. I have an exam by 3pm and my phone is that one charging but slow,” he lamented.
Some students also faulted some Students’ Union Executives who also visited the bank to charge their gadgets, while arguing that they should be mounting pressure on appropriate quarters to fix the outage.
Earlier, IndyPress had reported a similar situation on September 26, which also forced students to turn to the bank as an alternative.
As of the time of filling this report, more students are seen coming into the bank premises to power up gadgets.
