Following their earlier release on the 6th of December 2024, The Great Independence Hall Literary and Debating Society has written a letter addressed to the Senators of The Literary and Debating Society.

The Letter was a petition seeking disciplinary action against the TLDS president, Ogonna Okere.

Recall that Indy Hall L and D made a release stating not only their dissatisfaction in the way their debate round against Idia hall L and D, but also asking that the injustice done to them be reversed.

The letter which was addressed to the Senators of TLDS asked that in accordance with Article 7, section 2 of the TLDS constitution, a disciplinary committee be set up to look into the actions of the TLDS President, Ogonna Okere for the following;

‘Gross dishonesty to constituencies; abuse of power by making unconstitutional decisions on the outcome of a competition that goes beyond the scope of his office;’ amongst others
