After 103 Days, UCH Electricity Gets Restored, Students’ Public Hostels Still in Darkness

By IndyPress News Desk

Power supply has been restored to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, after 103 days of blackout. This fulfills the Minister of Power’s pledge to reconnect the hospital within 48 hours.

However, as of press time, Alexander Brown Hall and Ayodele Falase Post-Graduate Hall remain without electricity.

Meanwhile, the School of Nursing Hostel and other clinical areas have reportedly been reconnected to the main grid, UIMSA Press reported.

It remains uncertain whether Alexander Brown and Falase Halls will be reconnected. If not, as previously announced by the University of Ibadan Students’ Union leadership, physical demonstrations at the Hospital will resume.
