The Katanga Republic Independent Electoral Commission (KRIEC) has commenced the sale of nomination forms for the anticipated 2025 Katanga Republic elections.

According to special release KRIEC/’25/003, aspiring candidates must submit their completed forms by Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

Aspiring candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria, including: a minimum C.G.P.A of 2.0 (excluding 100-level students); a copy of the current school fees receipt; hall dues receipt; a recent passport photograph; a valid student ID card; and a resignation letter from any previous political position within the hall.

KRIEC has set the following prices for nomination forms based on positions: Administrator-General – ₦10,000; Secretary of State – ₦8,000; Other Executive Positions – ₦7,000; Floor Representative – ₦5,000.

KRIEC has emphasized that no extensions will be granted for either the sale or submission of nomination forms.

Candidates have also been advised to review the guidelines attached to their forms to ensure compliance with election procedures and campaign regulations.
