The Kegites Club of Nigeria, National Headquarters, University of Ibadan, will hold its 2025 coronation ceremony on Saturday, 12th April.
The yearly coronation ceremony follows a week-long event organized by the socio-cultural club, which would ultimately usher in a new student leadership.
The coronation ceremony will take place at the Kegites Shrine, opposite Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan.
The conoration is set to commence at 8 PM and will last until daybreak.
The event will witness the gathering of senior, or old, members of the organization, along with guests from other affiliated branches of the club across various tertiary institutions, among others.
In an interview with IndyPress, the club’s AB Elder, Okunlola Gbekeloluwa, described the event as yet another opportunity to celebrate and cherish tradition.
“The coronation marks a significant milestone — an embodiment of our heritage, unity, and collective progress,” Gbeke said.
“As the AB Elder of the club, I see it as a moment of pride and reflection — a chance to honor our roots while inspiring a future built on tradition, leadership, and community spirit, especially being the National Headquarters, and not just that, the University of Ibadan,” he added.
