The 2025 SEALS Cup male category kicked off with a 2-2 draw between MBBS and IPE.

MBBS started strong, putting pressure on the IPE defense.

However, the first goal came from IPE’s Victor Kolawole, who scored a header from a corner kick. This energized IPE, and they dominated much of the first half.

IPE maintained their momentum into the second half, forcing MBBS to play defensively. MBBS struggled to advance the ball, pushing back with more determination, challenging the IPE defense.

Then MBBS’s number 30 scored with a free-kick, leveling the score.

Controversy arose shortly after, due to a disputed penalty call in favor of MBBS, which the referee did not award. IPE capitalized on this distraction and quickly scored, regaining the lead.

IPE seemed to secure a victory over their opponent but a miscommunication between their defender and goalkeeper fetched MBBS a cheap goal to level up.

The Wednesday’s hard-fought match ended in a 2-2 draw.
