The Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, on Saturday, 24th May, held an orientation ceremony for fresh residents in the hall.
Gracing the event were Dr. Adejumobi, the Indy Hall Warden, Dr. Odedokun, the Assistant Hall Warden, and other personalities.
Speaking at the event, the Assistant Hall Warden, Dr. Odedokun, charged students to prioritize their academics, describing it as their primary focus on campus.
Dr. Odedokun also emphasized on the importance of maintaining proper hygiene, while enjoining fresh residents to make decent dressing paramount.
The Assistant Hall Warden further advised students to put God first in their decisions and choices.
“You are here on campus to study. Don’t neglect your primary assignment. Also, you need to maintain proper hygiene and dress well because the way you dress is the way you will be addressed.”
Addressing the fresh students, Dr. Adejumobi, the Hall Warden, advised students to be security conscious, while charging them to uphold moral principles.
He also warned students against joining cultism.
“Immorality ruins life. Always uphold a good moral conduct. Remember the sons of whom you are. Also, be security conscious. Always take good care of your property,” Dr. Adejumobi said.
He further enjoined the fresh students to adhere to the rules and ethics of the hall.
