The Technology and Engineering Students’ Association (TESA) has announced a ₦50,000 reduction in the fees of 300-500 level students in the Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan.
According to the release, the reduction was approved after consultations with the Students’ Union, Faculty authority, and the University Management.
The announcement was made on May 31, 2025, following the identification of an error in the Studio Fee component.
According to the release, the reduction was approved after consultations with the Students’ Union, Faculty authority, and the University Management.
According to a notice jointly signed by TESA President James O. Ajayi and General Secretary Folake Sangolade, affected students will see the changes reflected on their payment portals.
According to the release, the reduction was approved after consultations with the Students’ Union, Faculty authority, and the University Management.
“200-level students are not eligible for this fee reduction,” the statement clarified, “as laboratory use for their current session is still active and has been accounted for in the fees.”
TESA advised 300-500 level students whose portals have not yet been updated to hold off on making payments until the rectification is completed.
The association encouraged students facing financial constraints to apply for NELFUND, the loan scheme. Additionally, all students are expected to complete their course registration on or before June 6th, as failure to do so potentially would result in a repeat of the current session.
