The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, has postponed its Global Campus Journalism Summit 2.0 and the Prof. Francis Egbokhare Inter-LPO Debate Finals, initially scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

The postponement was announced in a press release dated July 2, 2025, jointly signed by the UCJ President, Olanshile Ogunrinu, and Vice President (Administration), Ogunleye Moboluwarin.

According to the press release, the Union cited logistical challenges as the reason for the postponement.

“This decision, though difficult, is a necessary one to ensure that we deliver an experience that reflects the excellence and value that all participants, speakers, and sponsors deserve,” it added.

The Union further explained that a new date for the events would be communicated soon, while assuring that the current challenges are being addressed.

“A new date will be communicated in due course, and all existing expressions of interest, registrations, and confirmations will remain valid. We are working tirelessly behind the scenes to resolve current concerns and remain committed to hosting a summit and debate finals worthy of expectations,” the statement concluded.
