The Students’ Union Executive Committee, on Monday, July 7, 2025, called for applications from the student community for the first semester examination package.
According to a broadcast obtained by IndyPress, the package is intended to provide examination relief to indigent students.
The selected students, according to the Students’ Union leadership, will receive their examination packages on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Students’ Union Building by 11:00 a.m.
“In line with our unwavering commitment to student welfare, the University of Ibadan Students’ Union is launching the UI’SU Exam Relief Package, a support initiative for students facing financial hardship during this exam period,” the broadcast reads.
“Due to limited resources, applications will be reviewed and considered on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those who demonstrate genuine need,” it added.
Speaking to IndyPress, the Students’ Union President, Odedele Covenant, explained that the examination packages were donated by well-meaning individuals.
Odedele further assured the confidentiality of the details of students who will benefit from the examination package scheme.
“Their details will be treated with utmost privacy and confidentiality and about the number of those who will be the beneficiaries, by the time we finish the disbursement, we will announce the total number of packages disbursed,” Odedele said.
