The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (Academic), Professor Aderonke Mojisola Baiyeroju, retired from service on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Professor Baiyeroju emerged as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (Academic) on November 9, 2021, a position she held until her retirement.

Professor Baiyeroju had served in the University of Ibadan College of Medicine as a Professor of Ophthalmology.

She also served as an Honorary Consultant at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, where she trained medical students and resident doctors in ophthalmology.

Beside academics, Professor Baiyeroju was also a sportswoman, having won numerous medals, including a gold medal in the high jump at the 1977 ECOWAS Games, as an undergraduate.
