Indy Hall to Host Virtual Skills Bootcamp

The Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, is set to hold a bootcamp scheme, scheduled to commence on Monday, 18th of August, 2025.

According to a flier obtained by IndyPress, interested participants are required to virtually register for the scheme.

In an interview with IndyPress on Friday, August 15, 2025, the Indy Hall Secretary of State, Abiola Olaniyi, disclosed that the initiative is not only planned for Katangites but other interested students of the University of Ibadan.

According to Abiola Olaniyi, the bootcamp is intended to equip participants with digital skills and at no cost.

Abiola Olaniyi, the Secretary of State, further mentioned that the bootcamp program will run between two to three weeks.

“The main aim of the Bootcamp is to equip, firstly, katangites, and then the occupants of other halls of residence with digital skills, especially those who lack the avenue to acquire these skills free of charge”, Abiola said.

“The Bootcamp is scheduled to run for 2-3 weeks, with the possibility of extending specialized skills like web design,” he added.

The Bootcamp training sessions, according to Abiola Olaniyi, will be facilitated virtually; on WhatsApp.
