Four alumni of the University of Ibadan have been honored with the NYSC Presidential Awards, IndyPress reports.

The awardees include Phoebe Toluwanimi (Benue State), Justice Oyewole (Rivers State), Ayokunmi Ayorinde (Kwara State) and Ebenezer Odunayo (Abia State), all of whom served in their respective deployment states.

The NYSC Presidential Awards were conferred on  210 outstanding Nigerian ex-corps members who served between 2020  and 2023.

The awards were presented by the President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed, who was represented by the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, during the NYSC President Award Ceremony, held at the Banquet of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on July 29, 2025.

While receiving three of the award-winning alumni on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, commended them for upholding the mantra of the University.
