“UI Ready to Renew Collaboration With UBA”- UI DVC Says

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan (Admin), Professor Peter Olapegba, has stated that the University of Ibadan is open to renewing collaboration with the United Bank for Africa (UBA).

Professor Peter Olapegba made this statement on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, while receiving a four-man team from UBA on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor’s office.

Professor Peter Olapegba acknowledged that UBA is one of the oldest banks in Nigeria, while emphasizing the need for a mutual relationship between the bank and the University of Ibadan.

He further mentioned that the university of Ibadan would gladly consider the propositions of the bank when addressed to the management officially.

The leader of the team, Mr. Bolaji Dare, the Director of the bank’s branches in Oyo State, disclosed willingness of the bank to resuscitate its relationship with UI management, students, and staff through products that will benefit the different stakeholders.

Mr. Dare further proposed that a branch of the bank be situated on the university campus with a defined banking structure to make banking transactions convenient for both staff and students.
