One hour after, the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Congress, earlier ratified by the Students’ Representative Council (12th Assembly) and scheduled to hold on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 8 AM is yet to commence, IndyPress reports.

As of the time of filling this report, of 500 signatories required for the commencement of the Congress, only 97 have been gathered.

IndyPress observed that some members of the Students’ Union Executive Committee, including Owadayo Olabisi (Vice-President) Kolawole Victor( Sports Secretary), Olawoye Emmanuel (Assistant General Secretary) and Segun Olowu Victor (General Secretary)  were gathered at the Students’ Union Building, raising concerns about their readiness and failure to mobilize students for the Congress.
