The management of the University of Ibadan has directed the Faculty Deans and Heads of Departments within the University to submit details of errors in student course registration to the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) on or before Friday, October 10, 2025.
The directive was contained in a memorandum dated October 3, 2025, and signed by Professor Rotimi Arotiba, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the University.
According to the memorandum, the University management received several complaints from students regarding issues with student course registration, prompting the need for urgent intervention.
“We have been receiving a series of requests for correction of errors on course registration from students. This could have been detected at the departmental level even before closure of registration portal and examination,” UI management wrote.
“While we ensure putting measures in place to guide against this in the future, I hereby request HODs through their Deans to collate such cases(supported with necessary information) and submit to the office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor(Academic) not later than Friday, 10th October, 2025,” it added.
