The Legislative Council of the Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, has fined some members of Indy Hall Executive Council for the late and non-submission of their audit reports, IndyPress reports.

The Council had  initially set the submission deadline for September 25, 2025, but later extended it to October 9, 2025, at the request of Team Altruism, the hall’s Executive Council.

The fined members of Peculiar Adedeji-led Executive Council include Peculiar Adedeji, the Administrator General of the hall, Tifase Oluwatimilehin, the Social and Buttery Commissioner, Obinelo Chisom, the House Secretary, Victor Nifemi, the Financial Commissioner, and Ayomide Ojo, the Health Commissioner for late and non-submission of their audit reports to Hon.Gbadebo David-led 14th Assembly.

While Peculiar, Tifase, Obinelo are to pay #2000 for the non-submission of the report, Ayomide Ojo, the Health Commissioner, is to pay #1000 for submitting the report lately.

However, the House resolved that the Financial Commissioner, Victor Nifemi, should pay a fine of ₦2,000, an amount higher than the ₦1,000 fine imposed on the Health Commissioner for a similar late submission.
