The newly renovated San Siro football pitch of the Independence Hall, University of Ibadan, has been temporarily closed.

According to a memorandum co-signed by  Indy Hall Sports Commissioner, Oladipupo Al-Ameen, and Secretary of State, Abiola Olaniyi, on October 12, 2025, the temporal closure of the pitch is to ensure its complete renovation.

“This notice is to inform you that the San Siro field will be temporarily closed to all users to allow for the completion of its ongoing renovation,” Team Altruism wrote.

It was also noted that the closure of the pitch would span for the period of two weeks.

“The closure will be effective from 7:00pm today, Sunday, October 12, 2025, and is expected to last for approximately two weeks,” it added.

Efforts by IndyPress to obtain comments from the hall’s Sports Commissioner, Oladipupo Al-Ameen, regarding the development were unsuccessful as of press time.
