The Nigerian Loan Fund has opened its student loan application portal for 2025/2026 academic session.

In a memorandum dated October 21, 2025, and signed by Mrs Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND’s Director of Strategic Communications, the opening of the loan application portal would run from October 23, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

NELFUND charged tertiary institutions to consider temporary registration measures for students whose loan applications are being processed against losing access to education due to financial constraints.

As contained in the memo, fresh students are also required to apply for the loan registration through their Jamb registration number.

“The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) announces the opening of its student loan application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session, scheduled to run from Thursday, October 23, 2025, to Saturday, January 31, 2026,” the memorandum reads.
