Honourable Sunday Adepoju, the South West Representative on TETFund Board of Trustees has assured the management of the University of Ibadan of the timely completion of all outstanding TETFund projects within the University.

Honorable Adepoju made this pledge at a meeting with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Peter O. Olapegba during a visit to the University.

Mr. Adepoju noted he aims at ensuring that South West tertiary institutions derive maximum benefits from TETFund.

Responding to the pledge on the behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Peter Olapegba, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), asserted that “UI has zero tolerance for abandoned projects.”

He disclosed that what the University has are distressed projects which were yet to be completed as a result of exchange rate volatility, natural causes and contractors.

He further mentioned that some projects have been re-scoped and would be completed shortly.

Professor Olapegba then urged Honourable Adepoju to use his office to ensure the completion of projects that they are yet to be re-scoped and bring more projects to the University.
