UI Extends Academic Calendar by Two Weeks

The University of Ibadan has extended its academic calendar by two weeks, IndyPress reports.

The academic calendar, which was initially billed to span for eleven weeks, has been extended by two weeks following the concluded two-week ASUU strike.

According to a memorandum obtained by IndyPress, the second semester examinations  will commence with General Studies exams on November 24, 2025, and end with Faculty exams on December 31, 2025.

The 2025/2026 academic session, as contained in the memo, will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students
