The management of the University of Ibadan management has set the schedule for the 2025 UI’SU Election, IndyPress reports.

The electoral schedule is contained In a memorandum dated October 30, 2025, and signed by the University’s Deputy Registrar (Students), S.O Oyewunmi.

“Following the inaugural meeting of the Electoral Commissioners held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, I hereby formally announce the commencement of the 2025/2026 Students’ Union electoral process.” The memorandum reads.

The collection and submission of electoral forms, as contained in the memorandum, is to run from Monday, November 3, 2025, to Friday, November 14, 2025.

The background check of interested characters running for the Students’ Union positions will commence on Monday, November 17, 2025, and end on Friday, November 28, 2025.

Also, the electoral screening for the Students’ Union positions is billed to run between Saturday, December 6, 2025 and Sunday, December 7, 2025.

The press night has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2025, while manifesto night will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025. The election will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Additionally, the collection and submission of electoral forms for the SRC positions will run from November 3, 2025, till December 15, 2025. Following the submission of their forms, the candidates’ background check will be done on December 16, 2025.

The electoral screening for SRC positions will be held between 17th and 18th of 2025, followed by its election which has been scheduled for December 20, 2025.
