Following the concluded two-week ASUU strike, The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan, is set to hold the grand finale of Jaw War 2025.

According to a memorandum co-signed by the TLDS President, Babatimehin Peace, and the General Secretary, Mayowa Adekola, the Jaw War 2025 grand finale has been scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025.

“The Literary and Debating Society, University of Ibadan wishes to inform the general public that the grand finale of Jaw War 2025 will now be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025.” The memorandum reads.

In an interview with IndyPress, Babatimehin Peace confirmed the reason behind the initial postponement of the event.

“It was postponed due to the two-week ASUU strike action. We envisaged that by the second week, students would have gone home. So, we shifted it. Although the strike was called off that week, it most likely would have impacted the attendance at the event,” TLDS President, Babatimehin Peace told IndyPress.

The leadership of the debating society further assured the student community of the communication of more details regarding the event.
