The management of the University of Ibadan, through the Center for General Studies, has set new guidelines for the conduct of the University’s General Studies second semester examinations scheduled to commence on November 22, 2025.

According to a memorandum dated November 19, 2025, signed by Oluwatoyin O. Dibosa, and addressed to the students, all students have been required to queue outside the examination hall thirty-minutes before the exam.

The regulations further stipulate that students will be mandated to present their online registration forms and identification cards before being allowed to sit for the examinations.

To raise any issue during the exam, students, according to the regulations, are required to signify by raising their hands.

It is also stated that all offences by students will be reported to the Students’ Disciplinary Committee.

“All students should queue outside the examination halls, 30 minutes before the examination and ready to be checked in for examinations. All students will only be allowed into the examination hall by producing the on-line registration course form and students’ identity card,” the memorandum reads.

“Students should signify by raising up his/her hand on any issue pertaining to the exam or his/her computer. Students should login into the computer at the beginning and submit at the end of the examination.

“Each student must sign the Attendance List and write his/her functional phone number as he/she is seated for the examination, and must also sign on the attendance before leaving the examination hall.

“No student should be allowed to leave the hall without permission. If a student is leaving for any reason (e.g. going to the convenience store), he/she must take nothing out and he/she must be accompanied by an invigilator.

“No handset, wristwatch, bracelets, hand bands, caps, rings, beads, hoods or any mobile device is allowed into the examination hall. The entry point of the students should also be their exit point to pick their belongings while the next batch comes in through the alternative entrance to the examination hall.

“All offenses by students will be properly reported and channeled through the Students Disciplinary Committee. Students with one issue or the other should see the Centre for General Studies help desk officer for more clarifications,” it added.
