SUEC Extends Accreditation Deadline to December 1, 2025

The University of Ibadan Students’ Union Electoral Commission (SUEC) has extended the  accreditation deadline for the upcoming 2025 UI’SU election to Monday, December 1, 2025.

The extension was announced in a broadcast co-signed by SUEC Publicity Sub- Committee, Ojuolape Festus, Jolaade Nasirudeen, Head, SUEC’25 Screening Sub-Committee, and Kilanko Timileyin Joshua, Head, SUEC’25 Logistics Sub-Committee.

“The deadline for accreditation has been extended till Monday, December 1st, 2025, 7am,” SUEC wrote.

The Electoral Commission further urged students facing issues on getting accredited to visit the University of Ibadan Student Affairs Division or fill the circulated Google form with the required details.

“If you didn’t get any accreditation mail at all, you are enjoined to visit Room 22, Student Affairs Division, or fill in the following information in the Google form link provided,” it added.

Ojuolape Festus, the SUEC Publicity Sub-Committee Head, in an interview with IndyPress on Saturday, November 29,  2025, confirmed that 7,064 students had  been accredited so far, adding that the reason for the extension was to allow for more political inclusion.
