Adebumowa Jesutomiwo, a 400-level student of Law, has emerged as the President-elect of the Union of Campus journalists, University of Ibadan.
A UCJ UI election, held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, saw her emergence as the President-elect.
Adebumowa Jesutomiwo currently serves as News Editor, Union of Campus journalists, UI.
Other elected UCJ candidates include Emmanuel Utibe as UCJ UI Vice-President (Editorial), Olajide Tikristi as General Secretary, Akinmobola Oluwaferanmi as Assistant General Secretary, and Aanuoluwa Williams as PRO 1.
In an interview with IndyPress, the UCJ UI President-elect, Jesutomiwo Adebumowa, appreciated campus journalists for their support, while assuring them of the fulfillment of her promises to the Union.
“I want to thank every campus journalists who engaged with my plans and believed in my vision for our union. I also want to thank all campus journalists who came out to vote and those who served in the electoral committee for conducting a free and fair election,” Jesutomiwo Adebumowa, UCJ UI President-elect told IndyPress.
“I want to assure all CJs that my administration would deliver on the promises that have been made and would continue to uphold all that the UCJ stands for and believe in,” she added.
