Adeboye Temidayo Emerges UI’SU President-elect

Adeboye Temidayo, a 300 level-student of European Studies, Faculty of Arts, UI, has emerged as the University of Ibadan Students’ Union President-elect.

The UI’SU election, held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, saw the emergence of Adeboye as the President-elect, after securing 2,943 votes against his opponent, Emmanuel Olawoye, who had 2,124 votes.

Other Elected Students’ Union candidates include Salawu Glory, who in the race for the position of Vice- President, was declared the winner with 2,893 votes, defeating Ojo Adebimpe, who polled 2,321 votes.

‎Odey John emerged as the Students’ Union Treasurer after securing 2527 votes as against Sobowale Adedamola who polled 2493 votes.

‎For the position of the Assistant General Secretary, Fidelia Eseile emerged victorious with 3038 votes over her opponent, Adegboye Habeebullahi, who polled 2102.

Other elected candidates who went unopposed included ‎Shontan Joshua, who emerged victorious for the position of General Secretary with 4681 votes, Tifase Oluwatimilehin as House Secretary with 4834 votes, Awofadeju Olasukanmi Alabi as the Public Relations Officer with 4,788 votes and 576 void votes and Siyanbade Adedamola as the Sports Secretary with 4567 votes.
