Some supporters of aspirants for the University of Ibadan Students’ Union positions were observed campaigning on UI’SU election day, IndyPress reports.

Some campaign fliers, as observed by IndyPress, were circulated on WhatsApp groups after the campaign deadline on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

IndyPress also observed some supporters openly canvassing for their candidates contesting for union positions on their WhatsApp statuses.

Campaigning on election day has become a recurring practice at the University of Ibadan.

This persistence has been due to the failure to call the perpetrators to book for such electoral violation.

The continued campaigning after the campaign deadline raises concerns about the apparent disregard for electoral regulations by supporters of the aspirants involved.
