The Great Independence Hall of Residence, University of Ibadan, is set to hold a Congress to address pressing issues in the hall.
This was disclosed in a memorandum co-signed by the Indy Hall Administrator General, Peculiar Adedeji, and Secretary of state, Abiola Olaniyi.
The general meeting, according to the memo, is scheduled for 6PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the hall’s quadrangle.
“The Executive Council hereby invites all Katangites to a General Congress to discuss critical hall matters and maintain our constitutional order. Your attendance is vital for the transparency and progress of the Republic.” Team Altruism wrote.
Speaking with IndyPress, Indy Hall Administrator General, Peculiar Adedeji stated that the congress aims to address pressing allegations regarding accountability and financial misappropriation.
“Concerning the Congress, we are looking at the time constraint because there is an important matter on ground that has to do with accountability and transparency…we can’t just leave it and keep procrastinating and not address it ASAP,” Mr Peculiar said.
“That is why it has to be today, so that we can show transparency and accountability for the whole issues surrounding allegations of misappropriation, abuse of office, or any other thing,” he added.
