UI Health Services to Hold Mandatory Training for Campus Food Vendors

The University of Ibadan Health Services (UHS) commonly called Jaja Clinic is set to hold a compulsory refresher training and Health check for all commercial food vendors in the University.

This was disclosed through an internal memorandum signed by the Director of the University Health Services, Dr. Aderonke B. Ajav on December 16, 2025 and stamped by the office of the dean of students on Monday, January 5, 2026.

“The University Health Service (UHS) is pleased to announce the basic/refresher packages of training and health check for all Commercial food vendors/handlers in the University,” the memo reads.

The training, which is in continuation of the University of Ibadan Institutional Journey of Health, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, January 2026 by 9AM with the venue to be communicated.

The Memo also stressed that the failure to attend the workshop/refresher course as a grave offence that is punishable by ejection from the University.

“Please be informed that the University considers failure to attend the workshop/refresher course as a grave offence that is punishable by ejection from the University,” it added.
