The Junior Chamber International, University of Ibadan, has announced the winners for the 26th edition of the Fifteen Outstanding Persons’ Awards (FOPA).
This was disclosed during its 38th Convention and 39th Investiture, which took place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan.
The awards ceremony featured ten competitive Undergraduate categories, each with three nominees, recognizing thirty exceptional individuals in the University of Ibadan student community, and five awardees for the Alumni Category.


Following a rigorous election process, the winner in each category received the Winner’s Award and a Certificate of Recognition. The two other nominees in each category were each presented with a Certificate of Nomination, honouring their selection as finalists.
Below is the full list of award recipients and nominees:
Undergraduate Categories
Most Outstanding Person in Selfless Contribution to a Worthy Cause
Winner: Deborah Oludimu( founder of A Pad for Her) who was recognized for outstanding commitment to community service and humanitarian efforts.
Other Nominees: Adebusin Olakuleyin and Merit Nwachkwu.
Most Outstanding Person in Academic Excellence
Winner: Mubarak Olasunkanmi, who was recognized for consistent excellence and dedication to scholarship.
Other Nominees: Ojo Damilare and Thomas Adeoye.
Most Outstanding Person in Entertainment
Winner: Okunade Timileyin popularly known as Casablanca, who was recognized for creativity and impact.
Nominees: Shittu Abbibulahi and Ayodele Eleazar.
Most Outstanding Person in Student Leadership
Winner: Victor Kolawole (UI SU Sports Secretary).
Other Nominees: Bello Ruqayyah and Babatimehin Peace.
Most Outstanding UI Personality
Winner: Oladapo Salvador (Indy Hall PRO).
Other Nominees: Olabisi Owadayo and Deboye Temidayo.
Most Outstanding Person in Hall Management
Winner: Adeife Adenekan (Mellanby Hall Chairperson).
Other Nominees: Anifowose Nafisat and Akınlawon Goodluck.
Most Outstanding Person in Journalism
Winner: Sonaike Peter (IndyPress Former Editor-in-Chief).
Other Nominees: Ademola Ifeoluwa and Oludare Olufunmilola.
Most Outstanding Person in Sports
Winner: Ayobami Ojeniyi.
Other Nominees: Akinyemi Gloria Eniola and Ojo Abimbola Blessing.
Most Outstanding Person in Faculty Management
Winner: Olayera Daniel Olajide (President, Faculty of Science).
Other Nominees: Bernard Derrick and Abiola Samuel.
Most Outstanding Person in Entrepreneurship
Winner: Ogundeyi Grace.
Other Nominees: Okoh Daniel and Odette Oluwasubom.
Alumni Categories
Corporate Governance: Ayo Adeagbo
Professional Excellence: Barrister Olajumoke Adelabu
Public Administration: Aniagboso Emeka
Information Technology: Ore Afolayan
Media Excellence: Victor Ehindero
At the conclusion of the awards, the chain of office was officially passed from the 38th JCI President, Taiwo Olanlesi Odusote, to the 39th President-Elect, Lawal Quayyum, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of the association.
