The University of Ibadan is set to hold a Student Leadership Retreat and Swearing-in Ceremony to mark the commencement of the new student leadership administration.

This was disclosed in a memorandum signed on behalf of the Deputy Registrar (Students) by Assumpta C. Lawal and addressed to Faculty Presidents and Hall Chairpersons on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

“I write to formally invite you to participate in the forthcoming Student Leadership Retreat and the Swearing-in Ceremony, which form part of activities marking the commencement of the new student leadership tenure,” the memo reads.

According to the memo, the Student Leadership Retreat is scheduled to hold on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, by 9:00 AM.

The Swearing-in Ceremony is slated for Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the same venue by 10:00 AM.

The dress code for the Swearing-in Ceremony is strictly formal.

The memo further stated that registration for each event will commence 30 minutes before the scheduled start time and that invited guests are limited to one representative per faculty and hall.

“Please also be informed that this invitation is limited to one (1) representative from each Faculty and Hall,” the memo added.
