The University of Ibadan has released new accommodation conditions for returning students ahead of the 2025/2026 academic session resumption.

This was disclosed in a memorandum signed by the University’s Dean of Students, Professor Demola Lewis on Monday, February 9, 2026.

“Dear UI Returning Students, If you wish to apply for accommodation in the 2025/2026 Academic Session, please complete the University Health Service Requisite form with the link provided,” the statement reads

According to the memo, students interested in securing accommodation are required to upload their Jaja card on or before Wednesday, February 11, 2026 with no extension

The notice also stressed the UHS requisite form as a requirement to secure accommodation in the University hall of residence.

“Completion of the UHS Requisite Form is one of the requirements for consideration for accomodations,”

Final year students and students in concessional categories (e.g. MBBS, physically challenged students) are also mandated to fill the form while a stern warning was given to students against falsification of information.

“Falsification of the required information will attract severe penalties in accordance with UI management.”

It also added that the University portal will be open for accommodation applications from Friday 13 to Thursday 19 February, 2026.
