Jaja Clinic: UI VC Commissions Renovated Toilets

The University of Ibadan, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale has commissioned the newly renovated restrooms for staff and patients at the University Health Service popularly known as Jaja Clinic.

Speaking at the commissioning, Professor Adebowale said the quality of restrooms has a direct impact on user’s well-being, particularly in a healthcare environment.

“Such conveniences reflect the value placed on health and well-being, especially in a hospital, therefore such facilities should not be taken for granted, ” he said.

The vice-Chancellor also commended the Director of the University Health Service, Dr Aderonke Ajav for initiating the renovation, noting that the initiative has challenged the entire university community.

He further assured members of staff of the University Health Service that the university management will intervene in other areas requiring attention in the clinic.

Earlier, Dr Aderonke Ajav expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the university management for approving the project. She also disclosed that plans were already in progress to renovate the toilets designated for patients on admission to make them wheelchair friendly.
