PICTORIAL: Sigma Club Screens Out Members from Loyal Sigmites Roll

In less than a month, notices have emerged indicating that some members have been screened from the Sigma Club Roll of Honour and have consequently ceased to be recognised as Loyal Sigmites.

According to notices released by the club, the following individuals were removed from the Loyal Sigmites Roll 

on Sunday, March 8, 2026:

  • Ibitokun Moses, a 200-level student of the Faculty of Law
  • Obakore Victor, a 400-level student of the Department of Human Kinetics
  • Ayodele Bukunmi, a 300-level student of the Faculty of Law

Below is a copy of the notice:

On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the club also announced the removal of:

  • Oladimeji Muheez, a 400-level student of Biomedical Laboratory Science
  • Bankole Caleb, a 200-level student of the Department of Medicine and Surgery

Speaking with IndyPress, a member of the club explained that the announcement followed an established internal tradition of publicly notifying the university community when individuals cease to be recognised as members.

He added that the affected individuals were screened based on their inability to fulfil assigned responsibilities and other internal considerations.
