The Legislative Council of the Great Independence Hall of Residence has approved a budget of ₦822 000 for the 2026 Freshers’ Week.

The budget was ratified on Thursday, March 26, 2026, during the first ordinary sitting of the 15th Assembly, held at the Great Independence Hall Junior Common Room.

According to the breakdown, the approved funds will cover expenses such as refreshments, transportation, DJ services, a ball, palm wine, venue decoration, and other related costs.
