JUST IN: Abefele Arrests Non-resident in Indy Hall Over Alleged Clothes Theft

The Campus Security Service of the University of Ibadan, popularly known as Abefele, has arrested an unidentified student at the Great Independence Hall of Residence over an alleged case of clothing theft, IndyPress can report.

The individual, who was alleged to have stolen clothes from the Block C clothesline area, was reportedly arrested around 4 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026.

At the scene of the Incident

Narrating the incident, an eyewitness told IndyPress that the suspect was seen removing clothes from the Block C line before being apprehended.

Another source at the scene also alleged that the individual had previously been chased from Bello Hall of Residence over a related incident.

Following the discovery, the suspect was mobbed from the scene as he was taken to Block D before the arrival of Campus Security personnel.
