UI Fixes April 16 Deadline for Course Registration, Announces Late Penalty Fees

The University of Ibadan has released the timeline for course registration for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This development was disclosed through a notice published on the University of Ibadan student portal.

According to the notice, online course registration commenced on March 5, 2026, and will run until April 16, 2026, covering a six-week registration window.

A two-week period has also been scheduled for the correction of registration errors by students between April 16 and April 30, 2026.

Approval of course registration by lecturers is expected to take place within the same period.

The university further stated that the registration portal will close on May 1, 2026, after which a late registration window will open from May 4 to May 18, 2026.

According to the notice, late registration will attract penalty fees as follows:

₦20,000 for students who did not complete school fees payment or made no payment as of April 30, 2026

₦10,000 for students who completed school fees payment but failed to register their courses as of April 30, 2026

Students are also informed that the portal will finally close on May 18, 2026.

The notice added that any approved reopening of the portal after the final closure date, for any reason, will attract an additional penalty fee of ₦10,000 per month.
