The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, on Monday, 7th October 2024 commended staff and students of the International School Ibadan (ISI) for proudly representing the University and maintaining its high standards of excellence.
Professor Adebowale gave the commendation at the official opening of the newly constructed ISI Multipurpose Hall on the school’s premises.
“The International School’s objectives are in alignment with the University of Ibadan’s vision of pursuing “academic excellence geared towards meeting societal needs”.
The VC extended his gratitude to the contractor of the ISI Multipurpose Hall, a worthy alumnus, Engr. Akinkunmi Ajisafe, of 360 Habitat Ltd., for successfully completing the building project.
The Chairman of the ISI Board of Governors, Professor Aderonke Baiyeroju, expressed gratitude to the University management, members of the Board of Governors, staff, and students of ISI for their support in bringing the new building project to fruition.
Professor Baiyeroju assured that the ISI neither took a loan nor begged for donation for the completion of the project.
The Chairman of the Parents/Teachers Association, Dr. Oyebola commended the management of the school for the project and gave an assurance that the Association would always support such laudable achievements.
The Principal of International School Ibadan, Mr. Yinka Akintunde also acknowledged the management’s efforts in creating the facility, which would meet both the school’s needs and those of the wider community.
He stated that the new hall will inspire the students as well as foster an enhanced learning environment.
The Multipurpose Building features an 800-seat capacity hall, restrooms, a VIP lounge, changing rooms, kitchenettes, media rooms, and a gallery.
